Item Details

Description

An estate collection with five original currency notes issued by the Confederate States of America during the American Civil War (1861-1865). Includes, one each: Confederate $10 note; State of North Carolina fifty cents note; Confederate $20 note; City of Richmond (Virginia) ten cents note; and Confederate $50 note. Presented under glass with a red backing in a decorative gilt frame. Largest note measures approximately 3.25" x 7.25" x .1".

Dimensions: 23 X 13 X .5 in.

Condition: Good overall condition, having normal to moderate age related surface wear, with evidence of toning, and foxing. Frame having normal to moderate wear to edges and corners. Estate fresh to the market.
