An antique bronze bust portrait sculpture after Jean Goujon (French, circa 1510-1565). A realistic figurative work depicting Diane de Poitiers (1500-1566), French Renaissance courtier, and mistress of King Henri II (1519-1559). An elegant and regal female figure wearing Neoclassical style attire, and tiara headpiece. Impressed subject name and artist signature to verso DIANE DE POITIERS JEAN GOUJON SCULPTEUR. Foundry marks to bottom verso.
Dimensions: 18 X 9.5 X 5 in.
Condition: Good overall condition having average surface wear with evidence of patina. Estate fresh to the market.
