GEORGE FULTON, ALLEGHANY CO., VALLEY OF VIRGINIA DECORATED STONEWARE JAR, salt-glazed, approximately one-gallon capacity, cylindrical form with flat rim, pronounced collar, and two incised shoulder rings. Brushed manganese double tulip decoration below dropped feathers on front. George N. Fulton (1834-1894) Pottery, Arritts, Alleghany Co., VA. 1867-1885. 9" H, 5 7/8" D rim.
