For your bidding pleasure is a pair of late 1800s Sioux beaded moccasins. This incredible pair of moccasins features remarkable beadwork set in neat geometric designs. The entire moccasin is decorated in beadwork using stunning colors of white, green, red, and small bits of silver and they are sinew sewn. According to a tag attached, this pair was formally a part of the John Stanley (1814-1872) collection, who was a prolific western artist. MAKER: An unknown Lakota/Sioux tribal member, from the Pine Ridge Reservation. APPROX AGE: Late 1800s. SIZE: This pair measures 10 inches from toe to heel and 4 inches wide at the widest part. CONDITION: Good for their age, normal wear expected.
