Shell work/ sailor art, five pieces, 19th C., includin: female figure with painted wood head and torse and applied shell body, in removable glass dome with carved wooden base, repaired apron, doll only: 4 1/2" h.; demilune paper sewing box with seashells applied to cover, pincushion at center, gilded paper trimmings and decoration, pink paper interior, some loss, 6 3/4" w.; Empire style bureau form box, heavily damaged mirror held by scroll supports applied with shells, base with serpentine top which lifts to reveal a cobalt colored interior, serpentine front with faux central bank of drawers and mirrored side cabinets, painted accents and applied seashells throughout, numerous damages and loss, 19" h.; pincushion held by pink and white seashell; and a late 19th C. pitcher marked "Stone Chinaware St. John's" with cartouche, applied with shells, beads and other trimmings, some damages, hairlines to pitcher, etc., 3 3/4" h., all pieces in lot have loss and damages and are being sold as is.
