Description
The mountain goat horn carved beginning at the point with totemic figures and a mask with inlaid abalone broadens to the spoon's wide oval bowl carved from the wide portion of the horn, and is attributed to the Tlingit of the Northwest Coast of the United States.
Measures 13.5 x 4 inches.
Provenance: The 40 year collection of Father Tom Wiederholt, Kansas City, Missouri. Tom was a close personal friend of scholar and curator Ralph 'Ted' Coe who advised Tom on most of his acquisitions.
