The fringed tobacco bag of native tanned hide is decorated in navy blue, green, pink, white greasy yellow and white-heart red bead designs of angular black tipped diamonds floating on patchwork ground above long hide fringe with glass beads.

Purchased by the present owner in Idaho, 1990.

Provenance: The 40 year collection of Father Tom Wiederholt, Kansas City, Missouri. Tom was a close personal friend of scholar and curator Ralph 'Ted' Coe who advised Tom on most of his acquisitions.
