Original and rare print of an important Futurist photomontage, created in the same artistic context as Wanda Wulz’s famous self-portrait as a cat ‘Io+gatto’. Demanins’ montage shows the founder of Futurism Filippo Tommaso Marinetti at the microphone in extreme close-up, obviously declaming Futurist air-poetry for radio recordings. The microphon is shot from below and disproportionatly enlarged to an extent that is seems to be a megaphone. Demanins had opened his photographic studio in 1927 and became a major exponent of Futurism in the 1930s. His work was later forgotten and has only recently received renewed attention.

Originaler und seltener Abzug einer wichtigen futuristischen Fotomontage, die im gleichen künstlerischen Kontext wie Wanda Wulz' berühmtes Selbstporträt als Katze "Io+gatto" entstand. Demanins' Montage zeigt den Begründer des Futurismus Filippo Tommaso Marinetti in extremer Nahaufnahme am Mikrofon, in das er für Radioaufnahmen lauthals futuristische "Luftpoesie" rezitiert. Das Mikrophon ist von unten aufgenommen und überproportional vergrößert, so dass es wie ein Megaphon wirkt. Demanins hatte sein Fotoatelier 1927 eröffnet und wurde in den 1930er Jahren zu einem wichtigen Vertreter des Futurismus. Später geriet sein Werk in Vergessenheit und erfährt erst in jüngster Zeit wieder Aufmerksamkeit.
