Chinese Ming Dynasty Jun Glazed porcelain brush washer Carved Hardwood Stand. The pot washing has an open wide round mouth rim, thick, deep arced body, raised with three short leg. The outer surface of this vase is covered from the top to the bottom, the variable glazes include red and blue colors, thick, multicolored, brilliant like sunset glow. The surface of the glaze has a fluid appearance with a splash of iron red colors melting together to create abstracted effect against a brown red ground underglaze. The clay is very fine, with a brilliant glaze finish that was applied by a meticulous, the shape is uniformly proportioned. The underside unglazed, revealed the pale-creme ground revealed and dark greyish brown spotted firing marks and edge-cut foot rim.
