A Chavin disc shaped stirrup vessel with incising that appears to be a masked jaguar face in profile. Burnished greyware ceramic. 700 BCE to 400 BCE. North Coast Peru. 9 1/2" x 7".Condition: Very good, with no apparent breaks.Provenance: From the collection of Harold E. Rayburn. Davenport, Iowa. Acquired 7/9/71.
