Description
Pre-Columbian, Southern Mexico, Guerrero region, Mezcala culture, ca. 600 to 100 BCE. An abstract anthropomorphic figure, hand-carved from mottled greenstone, that stands atop fused conical legs. Several string-cut striations create the overall minimalist presentation, and a biconically drilled suspension hole on the verso enables this to be worn as a sizable pendant. Size: 1.25" W x 4" H (3.2 cm x 10.2 cm)
