Description
1793 David Hume Essays of Scottish Philosophy English Enlightenment Politics 2v
“No man ever threw away life while it was worth keeping.”
― David Hume
David Hume was an 18th-century Scottish philosopher whose ideas on skepticism and philosophy were some of the most influential from 18th-century Scotland. He composed important essays and treatises which ranged in topics from economics, politics, human understanding, moral living, and historical accounts of Great Britain.
This 1793 edition was based on editions that included Humes own revisions. Hume did not authorize the first printing of this work; however, upon realizing the popularity of the 1753 unauthorized edition, he supported all following editions, including this one.
