[4], 203, [1], 47, [1] pp. Bound also with The Philosophy of Words at front which is lacking the title but otherwise complete. Bound in period marbled sheep. ******** First editions of both works by the eccentric linguist who credited Gomer, the grandson of Noah, with the origin of the Celtic and therefore the English language.

Condition

Front board detached and rear board barely holding, cracked text-block, spine chipped, some numbers to base of spine but no other such markings seen internally. Contents clean overall with only slight foxing in places.
