A group of five Japanese lacquer objects 日本漆器五件 Meiji to Taisho period 明治至大正
The group contains a narrow lacquer document box decorated with gold hiramaki-e "three friends"(pine, bamboo, and prunus) against roiro ground, sides with a pair of rings and an associated tie; a box decorated with rooster and hen in takamaki-e and hiramaki-e, the interior of the box with a fitted tray decorated with chicks and four boxes decorated with roundels, partially inlaid with iridescent raden; a circular dish decorated with hiramaki-e flowers, moon and beans, signature to the underside; a small rectangular tray depicting pumpkins and vines; and a rectangular tray with togidashi and hirame kimono robes and landscapes.
