Early Victorian BOX IRON & SLUG for Pressing Clothes 19th century, this is the the best one i have seen in awhile. It is known as a box iron, it contains a â€˜slugâ€™ which was heated on the range then placed inside the iron. has wear expected for age the back opens open which does contain the slug or heater. 6" long 5" tall the wooden handle does have damage on both ends. see pics what a great piece to add to your flat and sad iron collection!
