For your consideration is this Rare 1874 First Edition of, "The Life and Labours of David Livingstone", by H. M. Stanley, the first Canadian edition, published in Toronto by Maclear and Company, 1874. "About Thirty Years a Missionary in the Wilds of Africa; His Discovery and Relief, With an Account of His Death; and the Depositing of His Remains in Westminster Abbey". This illustrated book covers his entire career in Southern and Central Africa from 1872 when Stanley left him, to his death in 1874, and is a thrilling narrative of the adventures, discoveries, experiences and achievements of David Livingstone. The gold gilt stamped brown cloth bound cover is in good overall condition, scuffing noted to cover edges, intact pages have age tanning and slight foxing. Measures 4.75"W x 7.25"L x 1.25"D
