Provenance: Commissioned from the artist by a Dallas, Texas oil & gas company, where it hung in their boardroom
Jerry Malzahn was a Texas artist known primarily for his landscapes, exhibiting across Texas as well as in Denver and New York City. Malzahn also garnered numerous awards including the "Richard C. Pionk Award" from the prestigious Salmagundi Club in New York. His painting "Bancroft Hall" is displayed in the U.S Naval Academy Museum, and he was chosen to paint the official White House Christmas tree ornament during the George W. Bush administration.
