Collection of TEN "Republican Invincibles" Silk Ribbons From Philadelphia, 1880's - Established During 1860 Abraham Lincoln Presidential Campaign, Various sizes, a couple with minor stains, Overall in Fine condition.
1880's, Lot of 10 scarce "Republican Invincibles" printed Silk Ribbons from Philadelphia, 1 duplicate, a couple with trivial stains. The Republican Invincible were a Wide Awake type Paramilitary style organization, established in Philadelphia during the 1860 Abraham Lincoln Presidential campaign, where they marched in torch light processions. They also were part of the procession that escorted Lincoln's body after its stay in Philadelphia to the train station for its journey to New York City. Most are ribbons only, some with dates (1884, 1887 and 1888), some for different Companies (D, E., I and "Color Guard"). One Burgundy Silk Hanger Ribbon has a large 2" tall, Pinback hanging Silver metal "R I" monogram.
