Meiji era (1868-1912), late 19th century
The rectangular tray with slightly rounded walls and a stepped rim lacquered with an seidō-nuri ground, the interior decorated with a tattered fan with pine trees, a feather, and three eggplants in ishime-nuri, black, red and brown takamaki-e, and gold hiramaki-e, signed in gold Zeshin and sealed Tairyūō
With a wood storage box
