Collection of folk art drawings/sketches including; 1.) Sketch/drawing book containing 121 drawings (pen & ink, pencil, water color) by J.S. Morton drawn from 1835-1840. Images measure 1.5" x 3" up to 5.5" x 9.5" of animals, scenes, battles, whaling scenes and others. Most images are dated with some signed. Images (some loose) are housed in fragment (missing rear board) of album that measures 11" x 9". Morton was aged 7 years when he began these drawings in 1835. 2.) Drawings of sailing ships from the early 19th century by unknown artist. Images are performed in pencil with watercolor highlights and are housed in album measuring 7" x 8.5".
