Fantastic Colin Powell TLS "Keeping busy giving Military advice to the President...working with the fine men and women of our Armed Forces... They are the best in the world."
TLS, 1p, measuring 7.25" x 7.75", dated March 29, 1993, Washington D.C., on Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff letterhead and addressed to H.L. Fachel of Minnesota. Some toning and evidence of prior mounting on verso, but boldly signed by Colin Powell with an impeccable example of his signature.
The TLS, with fantastic content:
"Dear H.L. Fachel,
Thank you for your recent letter. In answer to your questions, being the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff keeps me busy giving military advice to the President, National Security Council, and Secretary of Defense. The part of the job I l ike best is working with the fine men and women of our Armed Forces. They are the best in the world. An autograph photograph is enclosed. Thanks again for taking the time to write.
