Description
An antique Ming Dynasty period figural painting on silk. Titled "Wu Liang Shan Fo" ("Buddha of the Infinite Mountain"). A figural landscape with Immortal figure seated beneath a large tree, with additional forms. Antique gallery label affixed to verso, with incorrectly translated title, and attribution to the Ming Dynasty (17th Century or earlier). Presented in a decorative gilt carved wood frame. Sight size measures approximately 34.25" x 18.5". From the Chicago estate of American gallerist and philanthropist Maria McCormick (1937-2021).

Condition: Good overall condition, having moderate age related surface wear. Frame having normal to moderate age related storage wear. Estate fresh to the market.
