Apollo 11. Apollo 11 launched from Cape Kennedy on July 16, 1969, carrying Commander Neil Armstrong (1930-2012), Command Module Pilot Michael Collins (1930-2021) and Lunar Module Pilot Edwin "Buzz" Aldrin (1930- ). It was the spaceflight that first landed humans on the Moon. Armstrong became the first person to step onto the lunar surface, Aldrin joined him 19 minutes later. Three signatures of the astronauts, matted with a color crew photograph to 11” x 14”. The Armstrong signature is a 4 ¼” x 3” cut with astronaut Richard F. Gordon (1929-2017) on the reverse. The Aldrin and Collins signatures are clipped from their books.
