⁂ Alessandri was a Neapolitan lawyer and legal scholar of considerable learning. Aside from notes on various subjects the present work furnishes us with anecdotes from the author's personal life. We learn, for example, that he lived in a haunted house in Rome and he provides us with many particulars about the ghost.
