[Branteghem (Guillelmus de)] Jesu Christi vita, juxta quatuor evangelistarum narrationes, artificio graphices perquam eleganter picta, first edition, title within woodcut historiated border depicting Moses returning from Mount Sinai with the Ten Commandments, woodcut full-page illustration to V1v depicting the descent of the Holy Spirit, vignettes and illustrations after Lieven de Witte, woodcut marginal manicules, tail-pieces, and decorative or historiated initials, 19th century ink bibliographical notes to front free endpaper, lacking A1 and g1, title with ink scoring, an ink stain and a printed fragment mounted in lower margin, h8 short tear at head, with minor loss to text, occasional spotting, lightly browned, medieval manuscript fragment used in binding, contemporary calf, spine in compartments, head of spine and corners worn, rubbed and marked, [Adams B1824], 8vo, Antwerp, Matthias Crom & Adriaen Kempe van Bouckhout, 24 December, 1537.
