Description
Mid 19th century, crafted in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania by Bechtel and Eno. The piece having been exceptionally crafted and hand chased with great detail. The rare horn having Neoclassical dolphins at the upper body with rings to secure a lanyard if so desired. The horn was once owned and used by Charleston, South Carolina volunteer fire commissioner Allan Calvitte Mustard (1853-1906). The piece is accompanied by a copy of a photograph of Mr. Allan Calvitte Mustard's son Harry S. Mustard holding the horn during an interview in the 1960s. Very well cared for with no restoration and repairs. No dents, no bends, no brakes. L21 1/4" W8 1/4" 979 grams standard all in Sold from the collection of a Beaufort, SC gentleman.
