The astronomical turntable complete and perfectly movable. With extensive sections on arithmetic, geometry, astronomy, geography, optics and statics, the work offers an overall presentation of mathematics and its applications. - Good copy.

Die astronomische Drehscheibe vollständig und einwandfrei beweglich. Mit umfangreichen Abschnitten zur Arithmetik, Geometrie, Astronomie, Geographie, Optik und Statik bietet das Werk eine Gesamtdarstellung der Mathematik und ihrer Anwendungen. - Der Theologe und Mathematiker Johann Jakob Heinlin (1588-1660) war Pfarrer und ab 1654 Abt und Prälat im Kloster Bebenhausen als Nachfolger des mit ihm befreundeten Johann Valentin Andreae. 1621 war Heinlin Pfarrer in Oberriexingen. Hier wohnte Johannes Kepler einige Zeit bei ihm im Pfarrhaus und bot ihm die Möglichkeit, seine Kenntnisse in der höheren Mathematik zu vertiefen, so dass Heinlin ab 1635, nach Wilhelm Schickards Tod, für zwei Jahre dessen Professur für Mathematik und Astronomie an der Tübinger Universität übernehmen konnte. - Sehr gutes Exemplar.
