(11) items including a Chorerra owl vessel; a monkey vessel; a solid bodied monkey; a goose; a dog; a Teotihuacan crested figure; West Mexico figurines; and (3) whistles; together with Central and Latin American carved stone including (4) stylized human effigies including a Diquis figure, (2) candeleros and (2) pestles
Provenance: The Estate of George 'Yorgo' Demetrakopoulos; professor, assistant director of the Medieval Institute and assistant to the dean at Western Michigan University, Kalamazoo, Michigan from 1965-2000

Height: 4 1/2 inches, Width: 2 3/4 inches, Depth: 3 3/4 inches (owl)
Condition: Very Good to Fair, overall light to moderate wear consistent with age, material and normal use; dirt / debris accumulation; chips to goose, dog and to ears and feet of solid monkey; losses to West Mexico figurines; repair to neck of Diquis figure; a human effigy moderate to heavy weathering on body; heavily stylized human effigy having few chips throughout; light scuffs, scratches and occasional minor chips throughout; a candelero having alphanumeric mark painted in black on base; mineral deposits
