Chinese Ming Dynasty JiaJing Blue & White Lotus Blooms motif Porcelain Plum Bottle Vase. The porcelain shaped into a traditional Meiping form, large and tall, wide body on shoulder, short neck with narrow opening, slight flaring ring mouth rim, raised on round foot base, with slight concave. Hand painted ornamentations are rendered in yellow base color which contrast against blue fine color, depicted of abundant lotus blossom interspersed foliage and interlocking tendril. The glaze is seamless and gives off a beautiful lustre, with the colors maintaining excellent vibrancy. The underside unglazed, revealed the pale-creme ground revealed and dark greyish brown spotted firing marks and edge-cut foot rim.
