Chinese Ming Dynasty Xuande Blue and White Alum Red Porcelain Bowl With Protective Japanese wooden Box. The porcelain potted with a shallow body, slight deep, thick, flaring rim with angled cavetto elevated the steep sides upward the close mouth rim, raised on ring foot base slight concave. Hand painted ornamentations are rendered in clean white base color which contrast against blue and red fine color, depicted of mythical beast flying over thrashing lishui wavy waves. The colors are harmonious, elegant and exquisite, the composition is sophisticated, simply a feast for the eye.The Under base bears a reign mark, a four under glazed blue script characters reign mark, enclosed within fine blue ring line. Made in The Years XuanDe Reign Period of The Great Ming Dynasty.

Over all in EXCELLENT condition. Natural wood imperfection, wood joint mark, minor scratches and dents. Normal consider ages and wears.
