Chinese Ming Dynasty XuanDe Blue and White Alum Red Dragon Porcelain Bowl On Carved Hardwood Stand. The porcelain potted with a shallow body, slight deep, thick, flaring mouth rim with angled cavetto elevated the steep sides upward the close mouth rim, raised on ring foot base slight concave. Hand painted ornamentations are rendered in clean white base color which contrast against blue and alum red fine color, depicted of imperial five claws dragon flying careening through cumulus clouds above thrashing Li-shui waves. The glaze has smooth texture and moisturizing, glossy quality. Which attracting unceasingly admiralThe Under base bears a reign mark, a six under glazed blue script characters reign mark, enclosed within double fine blue rings lines. Made in The Years XuanDe Reign Period of The Great Ming Dynasty.
