Vincenzo Laricchia was born January, 1940, in Italy. Educated at the Academia of Bella Arte in Naples and the Academia Tibernia in Rome, he rapidly became the talk of Italian art circles. His works are steeped deep in the tradition of the masters of the 18th century, In 1970, at the age of thirty, he was honored by the Italian presidency as the recipient of the annual President's Award, given to a select few exceptional painters in Italy. Today his studio is overflowing with similar awards from all over Europe. He is especially proud of the Golden Brush Award bestowed upon him in Paris, France, in 1976. Vincenzo Laricchia is a household name and well represented throughout Italian art galleries. He has shown all over Europe and most recently in Venezuela with laudable success.
