Japanese Fukusa Panel, Late Edo Period. Woven tapestry embellished with gold thread embroidery and with red lining used to cover a gift when presented by the giver. Several tears and bare threads. Size: 2'3'' x 2' (69 x 61 cm). Provenance: Sylvia and Philip Chaplain Collection, New Hampshire.
