2 Anglo-Indian Carved Sandalwood Boxes with Sadeli Bone Inlay, 19th C. Including a sewing box intricately carved overall with birds, flowers and vines; opening to reveal several carved compartments with fitted boxes, bone containers, and mirror. Together with a similar glove box. Size: 1) 13.25'' x 10'' x 4.25'' (34 x 25 x 11 cm). 2) 11'' x 4.25'' x 2.2'' (28 x 11 x 6 cm). Provenance: Sylvia and Philip Chaplain Collection, New Hampshire.
