A late 19th Century French gilt bronze figural group of the Horatii
probably originally a clock mount, the subject taken from the painting 'Oath of the Horatii' by Jacques Louis David (French, 1748-1825)
the three classical young warriors each extending an arm before them, raised on Verde Antico marble rectangular base, 42.5cm high overall

Condition
In fair to good decorative condition commensurate with age.
The surface of the bronze with allover dulling to the gilt finish and similarly with some darkened streaks and spotting and tarnishing. The coxcomb to the left hand figure is now lacking to the helmet so that one large and one small fixing holds are visible.
The case with some wear to the extremities and with some rubbing and with dust and dirt to the crevices.
There is some wear to the corners of the marble base and with some minor tiny scratches, knocks and tiny bruises.
