Description

white oak, oblong boat form with wrapped double rim having weaving over lower rim, arched handle with fine woven wrapping and complex woven-over supports, base with later hand-inscribed "39 '71 / AHNA" in pencil. Original dry surface with outstanding dark patina. Late 19th/first quarter 20th century. 9 1/2" HOA, 3 1/4" H rim, 14" x 7 1/4" OA rim.
Provenance: From the Eddie Tatum estate collection, Winston-Salem, NC.

Condition

Very good overall condition with scattered minor breaks, a few minor losses.
