c. 1920 Eye-catching Early Vintage "Baseball" Trophy
c. 1910, Early American Baseball Trophy in Silvered Brass Metal, Choice Very Fine.
This handsome Baseball Trophy displays a full standing uniformed batter wearing his short brim period baseball cap, leaning on his bat, a second bat is seen placed in the foreground and two baseballs. This trophy is made of silvered heavy brass metal showing some thinning to the overall silvering. The base and batter measure about 4-1/4" tall x 3-1/2" wide x 2" deep. There is no specific engraving on the base, thus a generic styled trophy. Overall, a really neat early turn-of-century item for baseball memorabilia collectors.
