Harry Lyman was born in 1856 in Rockford IL and died in 1933. He painted horses and dogs for hire. He spent a great deal of time in Chicago running with the sporting set, including boxers and race horse owners. He painted a number of Kentucky Derby winners. But he also hung out in Philadelphia and Kentucky. He painted political figures in Philadelphie.
