This was painted between late 1999 and before sept 11 2001. take note of the twin towers standing in good health. The statue of liberty does have hair which didn't occur in Benny's paintings until after 1999. These were sold to friends only, never sold at shows or to outsiders. a few of these did turn up at Benny's estate sale but most had already gone into private collections. Ron Causey Jr was one of Benny Carter's best friends and ended up with several miniatures which we are offering in this sale.- 2 1/4"
