Description
1920, FRENCH: Very early store or window display of a cobbler, dressed in a work apron. Clockwork operation provides motion to the nodding head and the polishing of the boot with the right hand. Glass eyes and composition construction. CONSIDERATIONS: Remarkable cosmetic condition given the age. Colors of the aged clothing is good, the blue apron shows a little surface dirt that actually looks correct for the figure. Wind up operation is working, however a little sluggish. There is a couple paint chips to the boot, but overall this figure has a great early look. Condition: Dimensions: 23 - 1/4" x 8" x 9".
