Beautiful Mid-century modern fashion advertising poster from the 1960s, created by a prominent Hungarian poster artist, Jozsef Finta. Finta was an advertising photographer and a poster designer active during the 1960s and the 1970s. He pioneered and renewed Hungarian poster art in his time, as his own style became one of the leading trends of the period. This work is a typical example of Finta's art. He was the one who spread the usage of overexposed black and white photography ( the so-called 'burned photography') on posters. The exciting visual effect of the technique can be seen well here. The montage is highly decorative, together with the dominant black and white contrast in front of a strong red-coloured background. The composition is a clear and organic unity.
