Confederate Group Over 160 Pages Diverse, Interesting Items!
A group of four items related to the Confederate States of America, including (2) framed patriotic emblems, a certificate from the United Daughters of the Confederacy (UDC), as well as a group of over 40 membership applications for the UDC. With toning to all, along with some foxing, as well as creasing, soiling, and chipping to some. Please refer to the photographs for further condition information. Details of the four items are as follows:
1. Framed Seal of the Confederate States. Measuring 8.6125" x 10.6125", No place, undated. The seal, depicting George Washington encompassed by a decorative wreath, reads "The Confederate States of America: 22 February 1862, Deo Vindice".
2. Framed Confederate Artwork. Measuring 8.875" x 10.5", No place, undated. Printed artwork featuring a CSA flag and banner proclaiming "The Warrior's Banner takes its flight to greet the Warrior's soul".
3. United Daughters of the Confederacy Certificate. 11" x 14", No place, dated January 19, 1910. A signed certificate confirming membership by several important chapter figures, adorned with ribboned seal.
4. Group of United Daughters of the Confederacy Membership Applications. 164 pp, Measuring 8.5" x 13.875", various places, various dates. Includes 41 applications with possible familial connections to important confederate figures.
