Center painting:
Frame: 12 1/4" x 12 1/4"
Painting: 11.5" x 11.5"
Side paintings:
Frame: 8" x 11 1/8"
Painting: 7 1/4" x 10 1/4"
Davids notes: Luc Simon was a French artist who achieved some fame as an artist. Simon is also famous for marrying Francoise Gilot, Picassos mistress in 1956 after Picasso left her. David Findlay gallery valued this triptych in 1972 as having a value of 1200.00.These letters are included.

(Source: Wiki) Painter and lithographer, Luc Simon is the son of Jacques Simon, himself a descendant of a family of glass masters from Reims Cathedral for centuries. He had two sisters, Brigitte and Simone, one a painter and the other a designer and sculptor. Brigitte Simon, married to Charles Marq, took over her fathers workshop.
From 1955, he had been the subject of major international exhibitions including Luc Simon / legendary moralities which led him to travel to Reims, Mulhouse, Gengenbach (Germany), Belfort and the Pinacoteca of Athens (Greece).
His works appear in several museums including the Center Georges Pompidou.
He also made stained glass windows such as those in the church of Lucy-sur Yonne.
With Paloma Picasso , he designed the sets for Madame, a musical comedy written by Barbara and Remo Forlani (1969-1970).
Luc Simon was the husband of Francoise Gilot, with whom he had a daughter, Aurelia. He later married Doris Klausmann.
He is buried in the cemetery of Lucy-sur-Yonne (Yonne).
