Pre-Columbian, Southern Mexico to Guatemala, Olmec, ca. 900 to 550 BCE. A beautiful necklace strung with 60 Olmec greenstone beads exhibiting verdant hues from sage and pistachio to forest and emerald-green. The outer strands are adorned with petite spherical and lozenge-shaped beads while the center bears larger, heavier beads in tubular, spherical, carinated, oblong, and sloped forms. This necklace is made wearable by the modern loop and lobster clasp combo secured to the terminal of each end. Size (necklace): 33.3" L (84.6 cm); (largest bead): 2.43" L x 0.91" W (6.2 cm x 2.3 cm)

Wearable as shown and strung in modern times. Stone beads are ancient; stringing as well as loop and lobster clasp are modern. Minor nicks and abrasions to some beads, otherwise intact and very good. Great bead coloration throughout.
