Description
A small but very good Gettysburg relic, a .30 caliber ball embedded in a 2.5 x .75 section of wood taken from somewhere in the immediate vicinity of the scene of Pickett's Charge on July 3,1863. Interestingly, one side of the section of wood is perfectly flat and may have some paint or varnish on it, leading us to speculate that it may have come from the exterior wall of a structure or a fence. Obtained by us from a lifetime resident of Gettysburg who solely collected relics.
