Item Details

Description

Lot of three original photographs, each 8 x 10 in. b/w, one a press photo, the others captioned on verso and marked as having been cleared by Army censors. These fabulous photos show Reichsmarshal Hermann Goring in Kitzbuhel at the time of his surrender, along with his captors, including Gen. John Dahlquist and Gen. Robert Stack. In the images, Goring's Pour le Merite is visible, in another he unpins his Iron Cross to surrender to his interrogator. Very good.
