Antique Oil Painting, After David Teniers Smoker at an Inn. An antique in its own right and quite skillfully painted, this fascinating painting of the interior of a tavern with people smoking, drinking and generally carrying on is an 18th or 19th century copy of an artwork by Flemish painter David Teniers the Younger, who was known for his genre paintings of peasant life. The original painting was from c.1659 and resides in the permanent collection of the Stadel Museum in Frankfurt, Germany.
Dimensions are 10.5 in h x 14.5 in w x .5 in d. Condition is good with part of the canvas tearing on the back edge, some discoloration and a couple of scratches. Please call or email for a detailed condition report.
