Description
An Art Deco bronze sculpture Indian Dancer, by artist Kernalan, after the original by Rene Paul Marquet, French, 1875 to 1939. Mounted on a marble stand. Inscribed, Kernalan, on the base. Circa: the early 20th century. Rene Paul Marquet was a French sculptor known for Art Deco artworks. He was a pupil of Emmanuel Fontaine and Jean Falguiere at the Ecole Nationale des Beaux Arts in Paris. He regularly exhibited his figures at the Salon and was awarded a prize there in 1909.
