Roger Corn (b1957) was born in Gainesville, GA. Roger, now in Lula, GA, began turning pots in the late 1980's. First he spent time learning under area potter Michael Crocker & then 4 years w/ Bobby Ferguson. In June 1995 Roger began creating pots independently full time. He often adds applies many layers of glaze for an outcome of spotted and/or mottled, many hue glaze finish. He creates both a wide variety folk pottery & traditional utilitarianware. His unique detailed & complex boars are one of Roger's trademark pots. White glazed boars are very rare for Roger per discussions/ collectors & experts of his pots, signed & dated on base.
