There is brown tape to all four outer edges. There are artist pinholes to all four corners and the right and left centre edges. There is some very minor frame rubbing to all four outer edges.

One tiny spot of paint lifting to the lower left corner. There are some scattered tiny pinprick paint losses to the surface, in particular to the upper left corner, in the figure's neck and the area around the feet. There are some small scratches, mainly to the lower and left margins.

The varnish has yellowed and there is some surface dirt visible.

Examination under Ultra-Violet light reveals scattered retouchings to the surface, in particular to the figure's legs and lower back. An uneven varnish layer obscures any further reading.
